Welcome!
We’re glad you found our Back to Church Sunday resources. Below, we’ve set out a selection of customizable posters and postcards that can be used to promote Back to Church Sunday in your local context both in print and online. Feel free to download however many you like, change the details, and use these resources anytime you’re planning to have a ‘back to church’ Sunday – whether it be September 28, February 8, or the 16th of November.
Whenever and however you do it, the goal is to engage with people in our networks who have fallen away from Christian community, and who might like to be invited to come back. A warm smile and a genuine, no-pressure invitation can go a long way!

The quick instructions:

  1. Choose design
  2. Edit the PDF file
  3. Save and order/print.

Don’t worry! You can also read the detailed instructions.

Requirements

To change the file(s) you will need to have a PDF-reader installed on your computer.
We recommend the Acrobat Reader from Adobe (it’s free and can be downloaded here). You can probably use any other reader as well, but we can’t guarantee that the look and placement of the text will be perfect with other readers. If you are experiencing issues, try opening the file with Acrobat Reader instead of in your browser.

Detailed Instructions

1. Choose design and download PDF

Choose a design for the front page and download the corresponding PDF file. Remember that you can print more then one design if you want.

Which file should I use?
Each design comes in three formats:

  • A post card size with crop marks.
Use this file if you intend to have the postcards printed by your local printer. (They will use the crop marks to cut down the paper, so you will have a nice full size postcard with no borders. ) The postcard size is 5.5 x 4.25 inches.
  • A post card size without crop marks.
Use this file if you are printing the postcards on a desktop/office printer, or if you need to create a image for FaceBook, email newsletters or other online uses. The postcard size is 5.5 x 4.25 inches.
  • A poster size with crop marks.
Use this file to order a poster from your local printer. The poster size is 17 x 11 inches.

2. Edit and save

Open the PDF file in Acrobat Reader and add the name of the church on the front page and edit the date if needed. Simply click on the text you want to change and start typing/deleting. Save the file when you are done.

Then download the back page and edit the text in the same way as needed. Don’t forget to include the church’s name and contact information at the back. Save this file as well.

3. Order / Print

Bring the PDF-files you just saved to your local printer and order as many copies you need.

Need an image for your FaceBook page or webpage?

Before you can upload your postcard to your Facebook page or web page, you need to convert the PDF-file to a JPG-file. Here is a free and easy to use online converter. Use the post card without the crop marks for best results.

Too complicated?
If you don’t need your church’s name and the date on the FaceBook image, you can use the images we prepared in advance for you:

If you want your own church’s name and date in the image, or a different design, just convert the PDF file you edited to a JPG and upload to FaceBook.

Other questions:

Q: Which printer should I use?

A: You can use the PDF files with any print shop or professional print service.
If you don’t have a local printer we recommend talking to Mike or Fred at Butler Printing.

Tell them Anders sent you, and you will get 50 postcards for only $17.50 (plus tax) and a free poster!

Q: Why can’t I write 28th instead of 28th?

A: This is a limitation of the Acrobat PDF form fields format. In short, there’s no way to specify superscript letters when editing a form field. If you find this too ugly for your standards, consider using a different date format.

Or, if you know how to use a professional graphics program like InDesign – you could always add the date on top of the PDF file manually, but if this is you, you probably know that already…

Q: Why can’t I change (…) as well.

A: Not every part of the design is editable in the PDF file. If you need the help of a professional designer for your custom changes, you can send Anders Carlén (es.sn1606910396oitac1606910396inumm1606910396ocnel1606910396rac@s1606910396redna1606910396) an email (rates start at $50).
